Lazy morning at Beldi. We sat at the breakfast table and before we said a word they arrived with trays of fresh breads, jams, fruit, fresh orange juice, pots if coffee, hot milk ... It was like they had physic powers and brought everything could have wished for. We wandered to the pool to soak up some rays and have a read, then off for a hammam, scrub and massage. Got the giggles when they made us take all our gear off and cover our privates with a nappy like modesty pant!! Even more shocked when they made us de-robe and enter the steam room (hammam) for wash down in our nappies and a man and woman came in to slosh us with oil and give us a scrub!! Wasn't expecting such a crowd in modest Morocco. Had to lie on a marble slab sprinkled with mint and lemongrass and once oiled up and doused with water it was quite a job stopping yourself slipping right off the marble slab onto the floor. Thankfully the massage was much more relaxing.
After such an indulgent morning we thought we would head for an adventure in the main town square, Djemma El-Fna. Pretty soon after we arrived we were pounced apon by a lively snake charmer who threw a snake around Richards neck. We didn't have any small change so the snake dude thought it would be a good deal to put another snake around Rich's neck and charge him double. Easiest $13 that guy ever made!! Apart from that swindle we had a calm and hassle free wander and tucked into some good street food and enjoyed a windy, rooftop sunset.
