We sometimes wonder why we bother traveling in the first few hours (days) of a family trip.
Leo (and Richard) get worked up and anxious and Jed gets cranky and bored of waiting around (before we even take off) and I get over taken with irrational fears about all the terrible things that could happen to us. So you can imagine all this negative behavior bundled into one excited, sleep deprived family. It's not pleasant. It feels like we would have been better off staying safe and comfortable at home. Even a snaz lunch in the first class lounge didn't seem to help. Food was good but moods were still fractious and it just makes me feel worse because it highlights how lucky and spoilt we are and even with all the luxuries and opportunities in the world we still whine and fight. It can only get better, right?

seeing this for the first time....
