Boot camp

Carla and I worked out that we cycled about 20kms yesterday. As you can imagine I was shattered. I've been doing yoga every morning as well which has been great and I want to keep doing when I get home. So I feel like Berlin was a bit of an exercise boot camp (in a good way).
Last night we cycled to a great German restaurant called Spatzel and Knodel. We had some German beer and the special of schnitzel with chanterelle mushrooms and a special German dumpling made of pretzels!! Afterwards we shared some hazelnut schnapps to help with digestion!!
On the ride home we rode past a large section of the Berlin wall that remains standing that is covered in graffiti.
This morning just pottered around getting ready, went for my last bike ride and returned my trusty bicycle. Carla and I caught the train and bus to the airport. Sad to leave Carla but great to see her so settled and happy. Riding her bike like a mad Sicilian through the streets of Berlin speaking German with confidence and enthusiasm (when she doesn't know a word she just uses English with a German accent). She was a great host. Thanks Carla ❤❤❤
In London I got the tube to the city instead of wasting £60 on a taxi (I am my mothers daughter after all) and eventually arrived at the hotel. I think on my carriage of the tube there was every religion, language and ethnicity represented. London sure is a melting pot. It's a big bustling city but it's quaint and somehow charming as well. So far anyway. I checked into Rach's room, had early dinner by myself and am waiting for Rach to get here from the airport.
